Mia's pupils were solid red at this point as there was now a huge hole in the paralyzed defenses that was still expanding. Somewhat satisfied Mia moves towards the turbolift. "Where are you going?" Micheal asks "Down to the planet." She responds "You'll kill everyone." "I got most of my rage out, I want to know whats going on down there." "I'll go with you." "No you won't, you have a duty on board the Gunslinger." "So do you." "Its my prerogative." Micheal didn't just shook his head and didn't argue further. Mia went to the transporter and beamed down just behind the rest of the group

Using Picard's memories as Locutus, they track down the Borg central node. Jim and Picard debated on who will go, each attempting to be the hero and sacrifice themselves. S'pock stands behind Picard, listening to the debate. Jim appears to give in and let Picard pull the lever, but he nods to S'pock. "What are........?" Picard starts to say, then S'pock nerve-pinches him. Jim looks at the Vulcan, and S'pock says, "I am sorry, Captain. I have no time to discuss this logically."
The Vulcan looks at Jim, and says, "Do what feels right, Jim. Deactivate the Borg central node, and while the result will cause a cataclysmic explosion that will kill whoever operates the node, I will not stop you. You had made the right decisions for the crew and I do not doubt your decision on this destruction. My father will not be pleased with my logical decision. But he will agree with the solution." He sees Mia behind him, and use telepathy on her. He saluted Jim, and Jim saluted him, saying, "You are so much like my First Officer. Since this is your logical solution, I will accept your advice." "S'pock to Enterprise." "Riker here." "Beam Picard and me up. Then get the two ships to a safe distance. It is impossible to hold her further, it is mentally draining." "Live long and prosper, S'pock. Tell Vul'cak I......" "I will." S'pock says, just before he and Picard were dematerialised, before Jim pulls the lever and triggers the explosion.

"Admiral Evenstar to Gunslinger." "Gunslinger here." "Teleport me back, I'll watch this one from space." "Yes Admiral." Mia then was teleported back to Gunslinger, she gets to the bridge and orders that the Gunslinger get a safe distance away but keep the view screen open to the borg homeworld

S'pock returns to the Enterprise, and Vul'cak slaps him, questioning him, "Why did you leave him down there?" S'pock was going to respond when Riker spoke on the comm, "You better come to the Bridge, Vul'cak, S'pock."
At the Bridge, Vul'cak stands next to Spock, and the crew watched the explosion. Vul'cak kneels as he senses the death of his second, closest friend, and bawls, "Nooooooo! This can't be." Spock kneels next to him, and hugs him. Vul'cak accepts Spock's hug, and the two of them embraced each other for a long time. "I sense his death too, brother." Spock tells Vul'cak. He refuses to release Vul'cak.

Mia salutes and the rest of the bridge crew follow as they watch the explosion "He was never meant to exist in this time, he did us a favor." Mia says hoping that thought would get to Vul'cak

"Father, she is trying to reach you." S'pock says. Vul'cak senses Mia and telepathically replies, "He may have destroyed the Borgs majority, but they will be back." In his grief, he forgets his anger and says, "I have seen him alive twice in one month." His son says, "Before he died, he asks me to tell you that he owns you his life." Spock still does not believe that his friend is dead.
(First Contact, remember?)

"We'll have another chance, and we will be ready for them, for now we just need to move on." Mia says Since many months had passed already, the Gunslinger had received a message for any and all Enterprise crew to return to starbase near earth.

"Well it was nice to have some of the Enterprise crew on board, we can all take some time to watch the christening of the new Enterprise before we go about our mission from before." Mia says as they arrive at the starbase

Vul'cak has not been happy since he mind-melded his son, many months ago. He was not pleased when he discovered S'pock had nerve-pinched his own captain and did not stop Kirk from pulling the lever.
Present..... Vul'cak replies, "Yes, Admiral. Enterprise. I have no regret serving you."

"he was never meant to exist in this time, neither was Scotty, its time to move on to the future, it should be brighter, we dwell on past memories only to deny the truth or to learn from what had happened. Its up to you vul'cak, which one you'll be. Deny or accept." Mia says to vul'cak before leaving gunslinger to watch the christening of the new enterprise

Vul'cak agrees, "No they were not meant to exist. McCoy is not meant to exist too. My past memories were stirred, when I arrived in the Nexus, and I had dwelled on it. I will learn from what happened, and move on to the future. I will accept." He leaves the Gunslinger with Mia to watch the christening of the Enterprise E.
Shortly after the vessel's christening, Picard assumes command shortly after the vessel's christening. He brings most of his crew from the USS Enterprise-D to the Enterprise-E. He tells S'pock, "You did what you had to do. I have reassigned you to the newly christened Enterprise E, unless you wish to resign?" S'pock replies, "No, Captain. I will stay with my shipmates." Vul'cak was pleased to hear this, and feels proud to have S'pock as a son.

"Lets hop aboard, and see how much of my design they actually used. And see some old friends." Mia says as she boards the Enterprise E, she looks over the engineering system schematics "Three things...... fantastic, Gunslinger can still kick its butt. Quantum Torpedo launchers, increased hull density and finer tuned plasma relays. I guess my ship will always be the best." Mia adds

"Yes, Mia." Vul'cak replies, as he follows Mia into the engineering system schematics. He checks the Electro-plasma system, and the engineering computer core. Forge asks, "What do you think of the Engineering section, Captain Vul'cak?" Vul'cak replies, "It is in great condition. But whether it can withstand the Borgs, it has yet to be tested."

"it'll hold up just fine, the increased hull density will give some extra protection should the shield system fail for any reason. I just wished they would use more of my design." Mia says still looking through the computer

Forge replies, "You really believe it will, Admiral? With due respect, I am not going against you. It is just, well, a new class of starship and I have to relearn my way around. But I will take your wisdom on the hull density." Vul'cak was busy checking the computers, and S'pock called him to come to Deck Two.
At Deck Two, S'pock says, "See my room, Father." He takes his father into his room, and shows him that room has a living area in the center of the dwelling, which held a personal workstation, couch, replicator and a small dining area. Connected to this was a bedroom that featured a double-sized bed and room for personal belongings. The bathroom is a full-sized bathroom with bathtub. Vul'cak was impressed with his son's room. "Wow, S'pock. You are a senior officer." Vul'cak says. S'pock replies, "I am Commander S'pock now, Father. Captain Picard promoted me."

"I know, serving on one ship for so long can somewhat disorientate you a bit when you change. Of course looking at these schematics, compared to how Gunslinger looks, its still significantly weaker, the hull strength is still 80% weaker and so on and so forth." Mia continues to talk with LaForge.

Forge accepts Mia's observation quietly, and his team called him to double-check on the engines. He excused himself, and left Mia. Vul'cak tells S'pock, "You nerve-pinched Captain Picard, and he promoted you. Did you suggest to him?" S'pock replies, "No, Father. I did not."

Picard greets his old friend, and says, "Hi, Amelia Evenstar. It has been a long time. How do you find Vul'cak? He has served me well for seven years with his many years of knowledge. I respect his vast knowledge and logic. How did you feel about having another Vulcan? I heard your previous Vulcan died, shortly after going on his mission. I admit it wasn't easy for the crew to accept another Vulcan shipmate."

"Hello Jean Luc, it has been a long time. I like Vul'cak, there are some things I need to work on with him, he's been through enough already so I'll wait. I prefer to have another psychic or empathic being on my bridge crew." Mia responds to Picard

Picard replies, "It is good you like him, Mia. I came to depend on his detached, logical analysis. I will describe him as 'the noblest half of myself' and his immortal soul 'is my responsibility, as surely as if it were my very own.' With his telepathic senses, he can sense things at a great interstellar distance. That had been a great help to me and my crew."

"he isn't the only one who can do it. I guess I don't like to feel like the only psychic on board an extremely powerful ship. *deep sigh* they did real good on the enterprise e, take care of this ship Jean luc, I know its in good hands, just don't be surprised when I pop in unexpectedly. Do you think vul'cak would make a good commander, its the only bridge position I really have open, haven't filled it since........... What are your opiniona?" Mia asks

Picard laughs, "Of course, old friend. You know me. I am used to your unexpected coming and going." Then he says seriously, "He has good commanding skills, I am told, when Riker and myself are away. His logic and wisdom has helped us to complete our missions. He was a great help to Riker after the Borgs captured me. Overall, he would make a good commander."

"then I have decided, he will be promoted, shortly after we return to gunslinger. Be safe out there, just because you have the second most advanced ship, doesn't mean its indestructible. I will take my leave, I'm sure you are eager to get underway." Mia tells to Picard before shaking his hand and leaving, she also messages to vul'cak that when he is ready to return to the ship.

Picard speaks into the comm, "All decks, this is Captain Picard, prepare for immediate departure. Helm, thrusters." Data replies, "Moorings retracted, Captain. Dock control reports ready. Thrusters, fired. Separating from Spacedock."
Hearing Picard's voice, Vul'cak said goodbye to S'pock, and returns to the Gunslinger.

"enterprise e ....... A sovereign class starship...... It's beautiful..... alright alright alright, I need a poll here, we have been in space for a long time and I haven't gotten one request for shore leave, do we want to finish our mission to patrol for another couple weeks out take a rotating ship wide leave? I can't make this choice on my own, I won't either." Mia asks, some of the bridge crew opted for the leave

In the past several months, Vul'cak has been recovering. He was physically fine, but his mind had not completely recovered from the mental ordeal. Having had the parasite inside him longer than his brother, and the first encounter when he had not fully healed his nerves, Vul'cak was in great need of shore leave. When Mia decided on the shore leave, he was pleased since he was exhausted. He replies, "Shore leave, Admiral."

"shore leave it is. For those who don't want to leave at this time, may remain on board but we won't be going very far." Mia says, the ship was 'anchored' by mars and more then half the crew left for leave, everyone else did not wish to leave at this time, Mia also remained onboard, Michael did not.

Vul'cak left the ship, and noticed the crew heading to a huge building. He heads to the building and goes inside. Inside, he finds it was a bar. A human greets him, and says, "Welcome to Aff Bar. You can find Vulcan food and beverages in here." He was led to a table, which had one women and one girl. The girl smiles, "Hi, my name is Sarah. What is yours?" Finding the girl friendly enough, Vul'cak replies, "I am Vul'cak." The human who led him to the table asks, "What would you like to order?" Vul'cak replies, "Mixed salad and plomeek tea."
