Vul'cak has come a long way since he was sent to another reality timeline. He met the old Spock from that timeline and while he was afraid at first, the old Spock proved to be a kind old man. Old Spock taught Vul'cak everything he needs to know. More than everything else, the old Spock became his best friend and mentor.
Under Spock's guidance, Vul'cak knew all about the Enterprise and its crew. He became the Captain of the Enterprise when he was barely 21 years old, and stayed as Captain until Spock's son, Sarek, was thirty-five years old.
Sarek was born in 2285.
