Several days have passed since Vectus had escaped from a Republic Prison, he was stowed away on a freighter heading for coruscant, he hoped there, he would have a new beginning not sure doing what, but being wanted in the Republic could sometimes mean that you get some interesting perks pending on what you did and how bad your sentence was. Vectus had heard of wanted people getting off with full pardon in the Empire, he hoped the same for himself.

Lady Zira and her daughter master apprentice Demeara, had a small duty of inspecting freighters for illegal spices and anything else unexpected. Zira wasn't the type to let any go by, with her full fleet deployed as a blockade every ship going by was inspected. The ship with Vectus on board was personally inspected by Zira herself.

Vectus pressed himself against the cargo and held his breath, he didn't know who was coming aboard but he prayed that he wouldn't be seen

An imperial soldier spotted Vectus and pointed his blaster at him and called for Lady Zira, she came and motioned for the guards to take him to a holding cell

Vectus was forced from his hiding spot and into a crammed cell, he now wonders if this was the right thing to do, he felt very uneasy, especially when looking at Zira

Zira let the freighter pass without further incident, she then goes to Vectus
"Why were you stowed away on an imperial freighter, actions like that are greatly frowned upon, unless you're running from something ."

With a shutter in his voice he replies
"I have stolen food from the markets, I couldn't find work and have been unable to support myself, after being caught repeatedly I was sent to a high security prison, I managed to escape and here I am now."

"Heavy time all because you were hungry, and escaping from a high security prison just to be free, I could have use for your skill. I'll give you food and even your own ship, and a droid to go with it, but you have to be willing to do a few favors. I'll give you time to think about it. Come find me when you are ready."
Zira says as she turns to walk off, Demera wasn't in agreement with the decision
"How do we know he isn't a republic spy?"
"He's not, you know I can pry myself into minds without trying, I saw the things he did."
"I still don't think its that easy."
"If you don't believe it then why don't you go find out."
Demera fell silent

When Zira walked away after hearing what she said, he would never have to be hungry every again and he would have a ship of his own AND a droid, he felt like he had made the right decision coming here, he told the guard that he had made his decision and he was escorted to Zira

"I'll do it. But I would like to eat first, its been awhile since I ate anything." Vectus says, come to think of it, he also needed a new outfit, but he wasn't going to push it after just asking for food.

Surprised he does a simple bow before taken to his temporary room, he finds an outfit that suits him and discards the prison uniform, after that he goes to eat, he wonders what his starship would be like, since he has never really seen one or had one for that matter, he had that gut feeling that Zira's apprentice ...... what was her name...... didn't like him from the way she looked at him or acted.

"I just don't feel comfortable."
"Then how about this, you spend a year with him, then tell me your opinion after."
Demera had nothing to say after that, she knew that this was an order.

Vectus was now satisfied, his belly full and problems solved at least he hoped, he wanted to thank Zira in person before he left on his ship to do whatever. so he did some exploring on the way to track her down.

Zira looked at the ship that Vectus would be using and inspected it before Vectus arrived, the droid assigned could fly a ship and engage in ship combat if needed, it was also programmed to teach Vectus anything he wanted with in reason, BB also did his rounds making sure there was nothing wrong with the ship either. Demera was busy getting some things together for her year long journey that she still wasn't happy about.

Vectus eventually found the hanger where his ship was docked, slightly unsure if this ship was actually his he looked around and saw Zira onboard with this little spider like droid.

Zira turns to see Vectus and smiles, BB skittered into Zira's sleeve as he was done doing his diagnostic
"Don't let it surprise you, this is your ship, take care of it and she'll take care of you, the droid assigned will handle the piloting, and will teach you things you need to know. Demera will also be accompanying you, she should be here shortly."
"I'm here." Demera replies with vile distaste
"Good, anyway this is Demera, my master apprentice, and my adopted daughter she will be with you for a year, or more if she chooses."
Demera scoffs and finds her room on board the ship and makes herself right at home
"Don't let her get to you either, she thinks you are a spy for the republic, I know for sure you are not. Go ahead and get settled in you may leave when you are ready."

After seeing the spider crawl up Zira's arm he was in a bit of shock, shaking it off
"Thank you for everything, I never had this chance in the republic, I don't know what I can do to repay you?"
*Demera walks in at this point*
"Adopted..... is that why you really don't see eye to eye, I can assure you that I am no spy, I'm not that good. I'll probably be ready to go in an hour or two."

"I won't." Vectus smiles as he was left to explore his own ship, it wasn't big but he was still happy none the less, he passed by Demera's room and didn't want to push anything on her right now, going to the bridge he saw he android in the pilot seat. he turns to see Vectus
